I'm still not a big fan of most of the Silver B/C grills, although some of the later ones are more attractive. I've become quite attached to my Gold C, despite the plastic tables it's a very hefty and solid grill that I think is quite good looking. I certainly don't mind putting the work in either, just saying that these are easier by comparison.
I wouldn’t put a painted one on a flipper. Dyed yes. Painted no. It’ll never hold up from a rattle can. Some of the automotive plastic paint would but at an extreme cost. Given the material cost at roughly $75 - I could paint probably 40 end caps.
Or morph them into slat grills!

I have considered that with a silver A skyline or pinstripe lid just because it's a little different and you can't get it in a deep box 13 bar. As far as the three burners go I would just rather do a Genesis 1000
I know it will, I've actually done it several times now. Hot water, bleach, and Dawn dish detergent. Scrub repeatedly with a green Scotch Brite pad until completely clean.
I've thought about doing it too, and still may if I find the right grill.

I was thinking an early Silver B because they look so much like a 1000 except for the plastic tables. I'm sure you could fit the table bracket from a silver b flip up table onto a wood slat table and have it work just the same.

The few parts you can still buy are generally cheaper, it would be doing it just to do it. I can't think of any other reason other than the supply of Genesis 1000 grills is quickly drying up vs. Silver B's.

Yeah, that one is toast. If the printing is worn away then the porcelain coating went first.
I think it got that way because PO must have rotisserie something contaminating the control panel with grease and never cleaned up after himself and in time the grease ate away at it.
Maybe, I was thinking sun damage.
