Genesis Platinum B/C

Yes, I can see how this easily this can happen now. I have just never encountered it before.
I guess there is aways a first.

Thanks Steve and Cody for your replies.

Mothers brand polish on SS or any metal is a must have in my work shop. To bring back SS to like new no matter how bad it's stained or charred. If it's severely stained it can take some elbow grease but most times it doesn't take much effort. Also a little trick that I've learned if you sprinkle a little bit of baking flour on it when you're rubbing it out it rubs out even easier to an even higher shine. I learned this when I was detailing stainless and aluminum on semi trucks when I was a teenager.
Thanks Josh,
I had a spare platinum shelf to test on, so I gave your tip a go. Mothers Polish cleaned it up nicely. I used straight polish though I did not have any flour. Looks like if I want to step up my game a little this would be the ideal step to take. Thanks again Josh, much appreciated.

Here is the before and after.

I think weber calls it a front panel, part # 70531 for the stainless steel version.
Correct and no longer available for purchase, no surprise there. The good news is those were made out of very high quality stainless and the original ones will literally last forever.
