Genesis Gold Handle w/ Spirit 2-burner Lid, Mod!

Any curved colored lids? Are they grills you restored or are you just scrapping them for lack of interest?
I’m just trying to maximize profit for simply hauling them off 🤣

I don’t have any curved colored lids, just one and it’s black. But I have squared ones in black mica (grey), black (no fade), and red.

I was not going to start another thread because of all the 3 project grills I have going now. My apologies to you all for not doing one a time, but I run into snags on each sometimes and I go astray. Here are the initial pics of this grill in case anyone is curious to what I am up against.

Steve,
Here is a pic of the wheel assembly and the caster assembly.
As you can see the wheel assembly has already started to bubble and there is more corrosion on the bottom of it that is why I replaced it.
The caster assembly might be reusable for it is not as bad, but I may replace that too since it is available from Weber and for fear of it becoming worse. It may only be slight surface rust on the caster frame assembly.

Of the three panels only the LHS panel is reusable.

Good news Cody,
I did save the 2 buttons and the hinge pin holders from the bottom panel. I almost made the mistake of throwing those away. I threw the bottom panel in the trash can and then I remembered what you said about saving them and I dug them back out.

Those little pieces are always handy to hang on to!!

Samuel: Those didn't look bad enough to scrap. A little work with a grinder and a little hand sanding and repainting and they will be as good as new.
I would agree... I think you could fix that, that is unless it feels soft. The pic makes it look like it's mostly surface rust.

Yes, you all are probably correct on the caster frame assembly, but what you cannot see from wheel assembly is the very bottom of the crossmember it is all bubbling and crumbling.

What are all your opinions on an open cart with a bottom panel like the one in this pic. Is it a worse option then a closed cabinet? Ideal would be a wire rack bottom but I do not have one.

Snag 1.
Firebox mounting bolt is rust in and broke off the bolt and the head.
Drilled a hole through the bolt hoping it would loosen it but nogo. Drilled and pounded for about 2 hours and I cannot seem to clear the hole. It seems like all thread was put in there.
Finally exhausted I stopped.
