Genesis Gold Handle w/ Spirit 2-burner Lid, Mod!

I was able to adapt a Genesis Gold handle to a Spirit 2-burner lid. This may also work on a Silver A lid of the same style if they are the same.

I was contemplating trying that on my next cabinet grill. Those gold handles are my favorite by a mile!

The handle is a little short but the length of the bolts make up for it. Spacers may make it a better adaptation.

No probably not on a B. Only maybe the A.

Now that I think of it, if a guy had a 6 burner summit handle and assuming they are the same size, it could be cut down to fit the length. If the end pieces (what I would assume are heat isolators) are removable, it could certainly be done.

I found an OEM bottom replacement in stock at GrillSpot. I ordered it. Let see if they come through.

Have you closely examined the sides and back of the cabinet. It looks like they might have some issues as well along the bottom edges.

Yeah, you got to take them apart before you can decide whether they are worth putting back together again.

It appears the caster frame and the wheel frame are in stock too. I hope to get them as well. I just got the bottom first since that seems the hardest to find.

I have aluminum sheeting for the sides if necessary

The back is fine, however the left side will need to be modded, if not replaced. The top frame was on back order which probably means that it is obsolete now.

I know it looks pretty rough, but it is all I have got at the moment, and it has been 2 years since I have come across a 2-burner anywhere near me.

It's 2 burner heaven here too, it's a shame I have no real interest in them.

Just clean them up a little and I'll bet you get action on them.

I am temped to do that as well. Just pressure wash out the inside and wipe down the outside and make sure the internals are in good to new condition and working correctly. But I have a hard time getting myself to selling something like that for some reason. I feel it is a substandard rehab, but if priced accordingly, then why not. It isn't like every car on a used car lot is in like new condition.

Any curved colored lids? Are they grills you restored or are you just scrapping them for lack of interest?
