Genesis burners

So figured it’s time to change the burners out on my 06 plat c. After 15 mins on high only gets to 450. I have another set of burners but noticed on my old burners there was a larger slit than all the other burners from my other genesis. I cross referenced the part numbers found they where all compatible figured I’d ask here first.

You're good. Somewhere along the line they changed the shape of the holes.

Hopefully had a spare genesis laying around grabbed the burners outta that one cleaned them up nice going to swap them in tomorrow. Those cross over tunes take a beating!

When you have the burners out, may I suggest removing the orifices from the end of each valve and making sure there isn't anything clogging them up.

Thanks to LMichaels and this thread for motivating me to shoot this video and fix my own sticky gas valves.

I used a non-chlorinated brake cleaner like this one, as chlorinated brake cleaners may produce some very nasty gasses when heated.
