Wait what size do i need ? I just bought the 1 1/4 I trusted you man i didnt even measure aaaha

You could also use 1-1/4 stock there, it would be a bit stronger and still look good

Last week I put a new 1" bottom crossbar in my 3000, so I looked through my stash and only found one !" insert. So I bought four more and completed the job. The next time I looked in I found a pack of four more....... What can I say?

All good Hank I may need them down the line at some point. Im getting this 1000 done so I can use it while I refurb my 3000.

Larry I used a broomstick to.pop out the plastic end caps at the top of the frame , not.to repair the frame aahaa sorry I hijacked my own thread

That's funny, I literally replaced the ones on the grill I'm working on yesterday. Luckily I had some extra original ones from Weber laying around.

Inever knew they offered that. Its actually kinda good when one busts out cause then you can clear all the rust inside...

They either fall apart or you snap the bolt off trying to loosen it. I don't know that Weber ever offered those things for sale or not, but that's where they came from.

I got these on Amazon. They really look like they fit round tubing but they were sold for 1" square tubing. There's enough teeth that they hold pretty well. If you search for "Connector for 1" Square Tubing, 1/4-20 Threads" they will come up.

Those are great, I've used similar ones many times and they hold just fine as long as the inside of the tube isn't too degraded from rust.
