Genesis 1 Restoration: Mission Accomplished

At long last, she's back in service. Many thanks for all the help from members here in tvwbb.
Here's some of the before pictures. I could've gotten by with just a few new parts, but the dilapidated table slats and fading firebox paint told me it was time for a deeper dive.

Here's a few in-progress pics.
Had the box & panels sandblasted, painted them with high-heat semi-gloss.
Cleaned and repainted entire frame, found a couple of end caps at my local hardware store.
Replaced the burner knobs and missing push igniter button via ebay.
Cleaned the lid inside & out. Much pitting remains on the inside, but tolerable.
Repaired holes in drip pain with JB Weld & sheet metal. Painted entire outside with high-heat semi-gloss.
Drilled & replaced manifold thumb screws w/ SS nuts & bolts, also replaced burner bolts with SS screws.
Got new slats for side table from a member here, ended up repairing and re-using the original handle, all stained & finished to match.
Upgraded the catch pan from worn out wire style hanger to the more sturdy type pictured.
Restored the emblem.

The project commenced in April, with hopes of completion by Memorial Day. Then, hopes of completion by the 4th of July. Unfortunately, life & wifey had different priorities in mind. But finally, with time to spare before Labor Day and winter storage, the end results:

I looked at the brochure from 1989 and saw that the Genesis 1 didn’t have one. All the others had them, even the junior/xx1 ….

Ahhh, unless a guy is set on an authentic rehab, I would consider adding the extra swing shelf.

Not the Genesis 1. Single table, wire racks.
A swing out would be convenient, but I'll probably leave it as is.

Seems odd they have a swing table on the Jr but not the Genesis 1.

I think because the 1 was marketed as a "budget' Genesis. Less cost all the performance. Whereas the Jr was not a "budget" model but a smaller "alternative"
