Hey guys, I just bought a gen 2 performer that was gently used. When the guy loaded it he cracked the table top. No real big deal as Weber is sending me the updated metal table. I saw somewhere online a video or photos of a guys grill and he used drawer slides under the top so it could be slid out to access a home made storage bin setup. I'd like to do this myself but I cannot for the life of me find the site or video anywhere. I think he said he used 18in drawer slides but I'm questioning myself and what I heard. Has anyone done something like this? My grand plan is to make a butcher block top that can slide out the same way but also have a "leaf" insert that would drop in between the top and grill bowl for extra work space. I need help wrapping my head around this fully, lol.
