Frozen butt?

I checked Kevin's safety compilation and the link I need is not working for some reason. My question is how long after thawing a frozen butt in the fridge do you have to cook it?
 
I go by my old(20+ years) army instructions. After it's been thawed for 3 days,cook it or pitch it! Nice and simple.
 
Thanks Phil, I moved it from the freezer to the fridge Tuesday night, it seems fully thawed tonight. I wanted to smoke it on Sunday. Should be good to go. Thanks for the input, as usual very helpful.
 
Eric, I cook frozen butt. I think that the color ,when done, is extraordinary. The smokering is always a deep dark red. It may add a little to the cook time but, for me, cuts down a lot of prep(thawing)time. I just take them out of the freezer,slather with mustard,put rub on, nad throw out on the smoker.
