frontier lump

No experience with it, but Naked Whiz rates it as just average, with lots of small pieces and says it is hard to light

The new bags from Mexico don't contain lump, but something much better

There is a regional chain here (Meijers) that has it. They have it for $7.39 for 10#'s. It will be interesting to see how naked whiz responds.

The one thing about small pieces is they do help you pack your ring tighter. I have another grate turned 90º so the small pieces don't fall through.

I was just hoping the Frontier was not related to the Cowboy Lump. Small pieces of hard wood, good. Small pieces of plywood, bad.

Saw some 20-lb bags of this stuff at my favorite Ace Hdwr (L-EE-ots in Elm Grove)

About 11 greenbacks - not sure where this stuff was made, might be worth a try
