Hey y'all. Name is Dustin, friends call me fat hoss! New to the forum, but not new to BBQin. Lots of great info here a look in' forward to being part o the family.
My first BBQ was a new braunfels charcoal grill. Shortly there after I got into smoking and bought their off set smoker and eventually their portable for campin' trips. Thought they were the best thing around for years and wonder why the heck everyone I knew was so high on those Webers. Well that is until I used my Dad's OTG to Q a few tri-tips. The weber was amazing! You could control your heat easy, it kept a consistent heat and the darn thing had a great seal. From that day forward I was hooked and it was hello weber good by NB grill and potable (still got the smoker for the every 5 year or so pig roast) Started with a OTS 22.5 about 15 years ago and quickly add a SJ to the line up. Soon after I had to get a JJ since I do most the cooking on our campin' trips. Just last year I purchased the OTG 26.75 bad dog. Love it! I have pretty well perfected smoking on the OTSs, but would like to add a SMC to my weber fleet.
Anyway, been lurking in here for a few months and figured it was time to register and say hey to y'all. Look forward to chatting about Webers and Qin.
