Fresh Mushrooms

For months and no real reason, I avoided fresh mushrooms on my pizza. Along with better mozzarella cheese and better italian sausage, I used fresh mushrooms today. My oh my were they an excellent addition.

So my question is which commonly available mushrooms do well on pizza?
 
Steve, I like a wild mushroom mix that can sometimes be found in supermarkets, or depending on your shopping choices, mix your own wild mushrooms. I love porcini but maybe go lighter on them; they are packed with flavor. I sometimes soak dried porcini and add them to cremini mushrooms and lightly saute them together before topping the pizza.

Steve, did the same thing last night. Used fresh,uncooked mushrooms along with some onion slices. Pizza was great
