Fresh Butterball Turkeys on sale @ Costco

Went to Costco today. They have fresh butterball turkeys for $0.99/lb. They have both the big Tom turkeys (20+ lbs) and the smaller hen turkeys. I picked up a 14.5 lb hen which is right in the sweet spot for doing on the roti in the kettle.

Will be doing the Weber Apple recipe as usual

WinCo also has fresh turkeys now, but they were $1.46/lb and they had none in the smaller sizes. Just 16-20 lb birds.

Yup my wife nabbed the butterball deal at Costco also got a 13 pounder.

Got my frozen Butterball last week at Vons(Albertsons) using a loss leader coupon for $1.47/lb. Last year was the same thing but 0.99/lb (I keep track of these things).

I tried a specialty fresh turkey 2 years ago from a butcher shop at $3.99/lb but to be honest, it wasn't worth it.

I know some people don't like frozen Butterballs, but they've all been spot on for me.
