freezing ribs

I picked up a case of ribs today and now have an extra cryo pack of 2. Should i just freeze them in the cryo pack?

Never had too much to cook before.

Thanks!

I'd leave it in the fridge a few days so you don't need to thaw them incase everything gets eaten and you want more!

Its for a competition, so i just don't have the room.

So far cooking 42 lbs of butts, 6 racks of spares, and fourteen thighs.

I've frozen ribs in cryo for a couple weeks and thawed out in the fridge with absolutely no issues at all.

I see JS nevermind then hahaha. I have frozen them before and it hasn't been an issue.

I freeze them all the time in cryo when I buy them on sale! Never had an issue that I could see. I also fast defrost them in water in the sink and can be smoking in less than a couple hours!

I do the same every once in a while our grocer has a sale on bbs so I get all I can then. Thawing in water lets you get em on the smoker quick for those occasions when your sitting there and think "mmmmm I'd like some ribs"

Besides, I think most of the ones that are packed in cryovac have been previously frozen anyways. I seriously doubt that they were transported and stored without freezing. I've never had issues either.
