Seems most of them that have been converted to newer style propane regulators that I come across usually have it.

Really? I have never come across one like that, no that's not true either. One time, everything else has had the 1/8" NPT fitting on the regulator hose.

There's a couple examples and it's not always but these are generally what they come with if they do.

I guess that people go into a Home Depot looking for a new regulator and buy the only one they carry along with an adapter to make it work on their grill.

Does Weber sell them with 1/8 NPT on a regulator hose?
As far as I can remember which my memory is not always great but I don't think I was able to get it in a Weber hose.

Yes, you can buy a hose/regulator with the 1/8 NPT connector on it and connect it directly to the manifold without the flare or any other adapter.

I will trust Dozyant brand regulator hose now because both you and Steve have vouched for them but before then I would only use Weber brand and I would think that some people that didn't know any better would just get weber brand
