Yes. The SJ Silver has vents in the bottom and you can get higher temperatures with it than you can get with the SJP as the airflow is better. The side vents were designed so you don’t have ashes falling out the bottom when you are transporting it.
 
You have the Smokey Joe premium or sometimes referred to as the Gold with the vents on the side. It also has the side lid holder and the bail to hold the lid on when transporting. The Silver has vents in the bottom and no bail or side lid holder. I will try to get pics for you tomorrow of both of them.
 
Since my SJ legs were rusted f ordered a new Leg kit, However I did find the bowl's porcelain was pealing on all of the outside leg contact points. Weber said they would sell me another bowl for a considerable discount. I may take them up on it since I got this one for Free.
