I just saw this pop-up in Alameda. I am all set on current projects but this looks like a great find. Hopefully, someone on here has already seen it and will be picking it up.
Apparently that's what the people who walk their dogs in my neighborhood WITHOUT poop bags think!Alameda one is already gone. If you put a bag of dog poop on the curb with a free sign on it, it would be gone in an hour.
Good point. Curiosity got the better of me, I asked if it is still available, as well as what is the fuel source..........That would be a great rehab grill. But, I am little worried about the side burner. Also, looks like it might be a NG grill as well.
It's propane, and I'm picking it up later today. Not sure if this will be a keeper or if I'll send it down the road, but I'm leaning toward the former. I always wanted one with the side burner (hopefully that is ok), and it'll be a good project to get it back into showroom condition. That would be a great rehab grill. But, I am little worried about the side burner. Also, looks like it might be a NG grill as well.
This looks like it's about a 2003 Gold...... @Bruce (or anyone else), what's the length on this thing? Trying to figure out if I can get it into the back of my Pilot with only the lid removed, or if I'm going to need to remove other parts (side burner, maybe??)For sure. Even if it has some serious flaws. Keep it for a parts grill and find another that you can rebuild and possibly harvest some parts from this one.
Perfect, Bruce, thanks! I always take the tool bag along......and I just refreshed my memory on how they go together by reading the manual from weber.com. Near as I can tell, I think this is a 2004 Genesis Gold C. Should be a fun project.65-66 inches. But if you take along a 7/16" wrench, you should be able to remove both extensions on the frame with ease and make it well under 50".
Removing the side burner end doesn't look too involved if I'm reversing the assembly instructions properly. It appears that the gas connection is a quick disconnect (like the tank on the stainless Performers), and then just pulling the wire from the igniter should free it up (frame bolts removed, of course.) It probably doesn't matter, though, I'm pretty sure I only need to remove one end for it to fit, so I'll do the other side (because I'm either lazy or "efficient".)Yep, I edited my first response. I forgot that you had the side burner and not just another table on the right. That side would be more involved to remove, but it is possible. Just more time and a few more tools. Just removing the left side should net you a good foot or so.
