So I came home the other day from the dog park and found a package of meat on my front porch labelled pork ribs cut. Kind of wondered where it came from and threw it in my freezer. Next day I came home from the dog park and found a bottle of home made Cabernet Shiraz on the porch, I was beginning to like this trend but began wondering if there might be someone out there wanting to kill me so was a little leery about the wine. The next day I came home from the dog park and found Richard, an old buddy of mine I hadn't seen in a couple years, sitting on my front step. He drives courier and my house is in his new area. He also likes to buy bulk meat orders even though he has a small freezer and ends up giving away whatever doesn't fit in his freezer.
So enough of that.
Thawed out the package the other day and opened it up to see what we had and figure out what to do with them. Turns out we had button ribs.

My brain instantly thought sweet and sour. So put a light coating of rub on them and let them sit in the fridge for about 6 hours

Then onto my kettle for some low and slow action.

Then went inside and made me some sweet and sour sauce.

5 hours later the button ribs looked like this

Tossed the button ribs in the sauce and plated with my home made mushroom fried rice and a couple of spring rolls.

I really liked them but the boss said they would be better without the rub so next time I'll just do salt and pepper on them. Put a few aside for Richard since he was kind enough to supply the meat.
P.S. Came home from the dog park today, yes my life is in a rut, and found 2 boneless skinless turkey breasts on the front porch. I'm beginning to like Richard working in my area
