Found a Platinum C

Hello All,

I'm new to the group. Found you guys while researching how to refurb the Silver C I purchased in 2000. I came across this Platinum (2000-2001?) today while looking for donor grills and now think I may pick it up as a second project. I welcome your opinions on the condition and value of this Platinum. Thanks in advance.

I think I've been bitten by the donor grill search/hoarding bug...

Happy to be here!

Deep box without two rows of flavorizers. If you can find a bad x000 with a good cook box, swap the boxes and fill it with the much easier to find 13 bar sets. if someone were to deliver one of these great "fat frame" grills to me that would be the first thing I'd do.....

You can still get the 5 large Flavorizer Bars part #9913 from rcplanebuyer on ebay if that Cook Box is in decent shape.

Yeah, it's funny that Weber discontinued those flavorizer bars. I've seen a couple other aftermarket sources for them, but not cheap enough to buy over RCplanebuyer. I actually just threw away a used set of Weber 9913 flavorizer bars that I ran in my Genesis 1000 for years. I bought them open box from Ace hardware for like $25. I never really noticed a difference between them and a 13 bar set to be honest.
