Forschner knives

Would that that were true!!!

Paul, I have a one man (me), one truck, one trailer operation. I'm leased to a company that clears credit and bills the shippers (and then pays me) but I get all my own freight on line.

I carry a knife case with knives, microplane graters, Y-peelers, etc., about 20-30 herbs and spices, and (usually) a variety of smokewood with me. I cook here and there around the country as I travel and often do not know until the last minute when that might occur.

Btw, if you're around next Friday (14th) I have a tentative out of Miami going to Galveston. I think I have a spare tri-tip. I know you were having a hard time finding one, right?

Thanks for the offer Kevin, but we're going to SC for that weekend. Plan to break in the RK that just arrived up there. I would love to try a tri-tip roast and I'll save you some venison roasts off young does.

When I saw that reference to "road knives", I thought.. why doesn't he carry a pistol .. self defense with a knife is a little too close to the bad guy

Drive safely.

I'm kinda late getting in here, but I own some expensive European and Japanese steel, and I'm sold on Forschner's fibrox line. I doubt I will buy anything else anymore. Right now the only forschners I have are:
8" chefs (love it)
12" ham slicer (great for trimming fat caps, filleting fish, slicing brisket, etc.)
3 different paring knives (very sharp)

I just received the knives. I think they are great! The case is not flimsy at all. The chef's knife is the big 10" one and the fillet knife has the flexible blade. This will be perfect for tailgating and camping.
