Looks like a good price,just did a small one yesterday for lunch.Paid $3.99 lb.at Sprouts in Tustin. Wow it come out tasty and tender. How large are they at PlowBoys?
 
Have you tried Smart and Final? I can usually pick up a full packer, choice brisket, for anywhere from $1.79 to $1.89 lb. Some weeks, they only have Select, other weeks, the meat case, is full of choice grade meats.
 
Smart & Final is the way to go. That is were I get most of my meats. I always love it when they have the vacuum pack of tri-tips out.
 
Bill, I am in OC and I think I've heard of Plowboys since I used to live near that area in Costa Mesa. I agree with Michael C about Smart and Final, I did a high temp brisket for Easter Sunday that I bought there and it was like 11 pounds for 20$, so 1.99ish +-/lb. It was a choice brisket also, I went to the S&F in Tustin/Irvine on Culver.
