First time smoking

My wife and kids bought me a WSM for Christmas and I put it to good use the next day. I did baby back ribs, and I think that they just might have been the best ribs I ever had. I rubbed them with KC Masterpiece BBQ seasoning and smoked them with white oak chunks. I can't wait to give it another round. I think I'll do a pulled pork next!

Yeah, pork butts are always a hit. Pull at 195, wrap in foil for an hour or so and go to town. Remember pork butts take a good deal longer over other smoked meats.

Welcome aboard Steven. Yeah once you get started you'll never want to stop. I bought mine in August and use it at least once a week sometimes as many as three times per week. You are definately in the right place. These guys on this site are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The more you read, the more you will learn, and don't ever be afraid to ask questions. Hey Steven. I have been smoking since 05 and I always use this site to ask questions and get directions. The Renoun Mr Brown is the best it gets as far as my family is concerned with BBQ.
