Scooter:
Get over to Ryan's, he has a brinkman pan and a made in USA thermometer for your new WSM, even gave him the tool for popping the hole in the lid.

We has a great cook Sunday, made a batch of Uncle Ernies beans, drbbq corn casserole (actually two batches one w/chedder one w/o), some baked garlic bread and two chickens, one marinated one without.
Great dinner except we ran out of wiskey.

Thank you everyone for all the input. I'm sold for life on the WSM. By the way the wife loves it as well.

[qb]Thank you everyone for all the input. I'm sold for life on the WSM. By the way the wife loves it as well.[/qb]

So, what did you cook for the first time out of the box?

Tonight was my first try, did a chicken and it was great, and very easy. I rubbed olive oil on the chicken skin and it got nice and crispy.

For my first BBQ I did 2 chickens rubbed. It was a big hit. I Like chicken, but beef is the best. SOOOOOO for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times I did a tri tip in JD sauce. It was the best. My wife loves this cook. I love th /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif e WSM, and thank Solin and Duck for getting me into this. I am going to do something tomorrow, not sure what but I will advise. Solin, stop by and drink a little some some. I think it will be a Butt. Thanks friends, have a lovely smoke.

Scooter, you are coming along just fine.

Time for some bbacks. Go to Costco and get a
three pack. Call Ryan and con him out of some of
that new Marys Cherry Rub, we ordered extra.

Go to Albertsons on Coburg and get big butt for
your first overnighter.

Cook ribs on in the afternoon and put the butt
on for the overnighter. Cover with mustard and
then coat with rub.

You will have a nice weekend.

Heading to AZ today, need heat and massive sun.
