First Post - Weber Silver A Restoration (London UK)

This is essentially an introduction post as well as a restoration I carried out during the lock down in the UK. I have refurbished quite a lot of Weber Q series in London as there is extremely high demand and top prices paid for second hand ones

However I was always interested in refurbishing something a little older and came across this little Weber Genesis Silver A being thrown out so I picked it up for free.

Interestingly, after the refurbishment it then sold to a very keen Australian chap withing 10 minutes of posting on FB Marketplace - turns out the large Australian and New Zealand population of London absolutely love the older generation of Weber grill.

Hope you enjoy the restoration pictures!

You did a great restore on that. It looks like you were able to preserve the original paint on the end caps.

Finished project!

Sadly the original bottom wire shelf was extremely rusted and I wanted to get it sand blasted and refurbished but the lockdown didn't allow it. Luckily, new owner was happy to refurbish this himself
