I tried my first butt over the holiday. Almost 10 pounds with bone in. Did the Mr. Brown recipe and the Minion method. Took just under 18 hours. All compliments from guests. Also did a brisket under the butt. It was over trimmed but all I could find. It was good, I guess the butt basted it well. The brisket was done in ten hours.
I served the brisket in the afternoon and the butt in the evening. Some pulled and some sliced of each.
