First Boston Butt


 
Matt, congrats on the cook! No, it's not rocket science by any means, but even as forgiving as pork butt is, some of us are kind of obsessed with getting it as close to perfect as it can be...Not me, but yes, there are those....lol. Glad your 'Q was a big hit! Try some BBQ nachos or BBQ sundaes if you have any left. I just posted a recipe of the latter in the pork recipes this morning.

You know, I do remember a couple weeks ago a poster sharing some pics of nachos he made, and it did look quite tasty...

I already 'warned' this group of people that when I give my first brisket a go, they're likely to be the test subjects. One comment was, "Twist my arm why don't ya!"
 
Great job Matt! I like yourself always worry about running out of food. But like you mentioned, leftovers are a great thing for everbody.
 
Matt the meat looks great. I went with the notch like some here and it works with ease. I ordered the six foot probes since the ones that came with the unit are so short.
