Fire on the hose!

Quick question… I’ve had the Q series Grill for about five years… And I’ve never seen this before, but I had fire coming out of the hose where it attaches to the grill… I’m trying to determine if it’s a bad hose or if the connector part needs replacement…? it was pretty scary looking… I didn’t get a picture. I ran to turn off the tank as fast as possible!

Would not be surprised if burner and or spider guard is dirty and that combined with say a loose connector and you have it

Yah, I would say the connection is loose or the gasket inside the connection is damaged or rotted away.
Upon closer look, it looks like the hose is maybe cross threaded into the regulator.

A spray bottle with some soap water would work too.
