Fingers (and toes) crossed


 
Weekend...I had to check my calendar....positive thoughts for you, I want to see pictures of this in your yard!
 
I was starting to get nervous, but just got a text from the seller and looks like I'll be picking up the RK tomorrow morning :D
 
Nice!! I hope you get it! My son has always wanted me to have one of those. He 'members when he was little, we saw one at the store and I put him on the grill. He fit!
 


Pictures as I got it. I've pressure washed it and ground off the bolts holding the bottom vents. The charcoal grate is toast and I'm not sure I can save the food grate, but I have a sheet of expanded metal I can use to make new ones. I will be able to reuse the bottom vents (EI or 1997) but hopefully can find something to clean them up good.
The front casters are missing but I'm thinking I'll make adjustable legs to use for leveling. We picked it up on the way to a competition, I told one person I had scored it for $150 and before the weekend was over had several come over to check it out and congratulate me on a great buy!
 
You didn't score that, you stole it...lol! Even if you gotta put $150 into it you are still way ahead of the game!
 
Tonight I got the bottom vents cleaned up, I need to get a polishing wheel for my Dremel so I can make them look really good. I also took a wire brush to the food grate and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get a few more years use out of it. Still lots to do but it looks promising.
