Finally in the WSM club! Need advice on some parts

Have been wanting to get into the WSM club for years. Missed out of the recent HD clearances that most people cleared them out of. FINALLY after 10+ years, I was able to score an 18 inch one for 30 bucks. Looks like it's a newer model (new handle) and barely used. Sprayed some Sam's club grease cleaner on it and the smoker and grill grates are nice and shiny. However, it's missing some internals.

Coming from the gas lines and restoring quite a few of them, I've become humble in learning about grills. I'm looking for advice on the charcoal ring and grommet in particular possibly sourcing them from homemade parts. That was missing from this and wasn't a deal breaker for me. Just didn't want to shoot straight up and pick up from canjun bandit stuff.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You could make one out of expanded metal or maybe someone has one from upgrading to a arfab or cb ring.
You should try posting in the Buy, Sell, Trade Grills & gear thread.

I made some from expanded steel for 18", 22" and 14.5" kettles as part of mods to make them double as WSMs. They work well. I used the Hillman Cold rolled expanded steel 12x24" sheets from Lowe's ($16.98 each). Here's a pic of one in my 18" Kettle:

Or you could go OEM...

I just ordered Weber OEM Charcoal Chambers for only $19.99 each (for an 18" and 22") from Grill Spot. The best coupon code I could find was "5first" for 5% off. Price is almost as low as sheet of expanded steel alone. Weber official website has these charcoal chambers listed for $56.99 (18") and $62.99 (22"). Great Deal at Grill Spot.

The expanded steel works well but the low price at Grill Spot allows me to upgrade to the more refined OEM look with durable Porcelain Coating. Can't wait for them to arrive.
