For some reason this resto took a long time with several short sessions vs a couple long sessions. It seems like it took forever but I am sure u guys know the feeling. Anyway this morning that grill didnt stand a chance!!! I got all coffee'd up and attacked with a vengeance. First I must admit the under hood was so clean that I broke a rule....if the rule break was so dang bad just tell me where i can buy the new end cap compression nuts and I will undue my rule break ......are u ready? Ok......I used a small paint brush and painted the inner end cap nuts with high heat just so they would look black vs looking grease...yes grease....u know dirty brown rusty look. This was such a minor amount of paint I thought it might be ok.....let the forum be the judge.
Todays finish work just because u guys can relate
1. Paint Weber emblem and sand clean
2. Use automotive silver door ding touch up paint for slight rust on door handles where they connect to doors...just a lil
3. Final polish on inner and outer hood with micro fiber towel and a lil simple green
4. Final walk around and frame touch up with high heat....I did not paint this frame.....just touch up
5. Paint inner cabinet floor and other inner areas to freshin up
6. Clean stainless doors with stainless wipes and buff
7. Clean inside and out of wheels and treat with 303 aerospace....also wipe regulator hose with 303...and all black plastic
8. Test burn and burn off for little bit of paint on end cap nuts.....25 min 500 degrees...not bad for a 2 burner..I think I saw 550 can remember but took a pic at 500
anyway I will include a few pics.......cause we like looking at grill pics
