This is not mine.

Came across someone selling a brand new silver A with stainless steel drip pan. According to the owner, it’s oem. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Larry, looking at the second photo, it does look like SS. It does seem to have grain in the metal.

Extruded aluminum does this. Obviously without the "sniff" test we'll never know but I seriously doubt it's SS

Not that I ever saw. The little 2 burner was a budget piece and I am sure stainless was not in the budget

It looks like an old one from a Spirit 500 or something but I would take a hard look - it may a pitted alum. pan covered in 5 coats of spray paint. I'd snatch that up in a heartbeat if NIB OEM and like 15-20 bucks

Weber made aluminum pans for Spirit 500's and early silver A's.

The one in the picture looks like it hasn't been used

I have seen aluminum and on the last Silver A grills porcelain plated steel. There is little doubt that Weber never made one from stainless. I wish they did and especially for the larger three burner grills.
