Excellent steaks...hot 3 burner genesis...8 steaks on FIRE

Of note; As I recall, I purchased my new Grill Grates over five(5) years ago for a price much lower than today’s pricing. However, our hobby’s cost as described on this Forum has also increased significantly over the last few years,I.e., grills, charcoal, meat, accessories, etc. Also, it appears that many of us in the USA,Costa Rica and Canada are finding it difficult to buy replacement parts and accessories such as a Rotisserie Ring for a Weber 26” as posted recently by one of our Forum Members on another thread. With that said; I truly enjoy being part of this great group on this Forum.and my BBQ Hobby.
Same and I really, really lucked out when a fellow member gave up on a set of GG's for the Weber kettle. If memory serves, it was only $50.00 and only used once, or twice, before I got my grubby mitts on 'em!

FWIW, this is my procedure on my Genesis for steaks, being especially attentive for rib-eyes, and strips. I've been there with the bon fire.

Hi-Hi-Hi for warm up prior to cleaning grates. (too cheap for "grill grates") Cook steaks for 90 seconds. Rotate 90 degrees for 90 more seconds. Turn off middle burner and flip the steaks. Arrange meat down the middle as close as you can get to the middle ("cool") area. Turn down outside burners to Med. Cook meat for 4 minutes, for me usually about 1" thick. Temp with thermo pen. Remove steaks that meet your temp needs and move the weirdo's well steaks to over the "hot" areas for more time as needed. Haven't had a bon fire in years. Good Luck!
