Sounds good Mike, And let me know if your not going to use those wooden handles. I would love to have a few for a couple rehab projects.

I will be able to get to them today. these were used for promotion weber did with Marlboro way back when and they were on the lid of a go anywhere i was gonna use. i popped them off for the plastic ones.

Very cool! It might be a little warmer before I get to making mine, but I'll refer back to this thread. Thanks a bunch!

It would be cool if someone with drafting skills could draw up a schematic showing all the dimensions and materials for this project. I'd post that as a mod on the website!

Any takers?

Regards,
Chris

It's been several years, but I do have a copy of autocad laying around. I am sure there are people that could do it much faster and easier than I, so I will let them jump on it first. If not, let me know.

Chris, I'll be able to do that and I'll email you PDF files. If there are members out there with CNC access etc, I can give you DXF, IGES formats as well. Give me a day or two and i'll make them all pretty.

Triple thanks Mike, I just scored a marlboro promo. go anywhere, like yours, for $20.00 and now have 3 wood handles. Now I have backup to the backup,as I only need the lid handle. Was going to sand off the cig logo and rub with tung oil.should I bother?

Jim -i would keept the Marlboro promo handles as such. I bet someday somone will pay high dollars for them.
