ET73 broke

while setting up the ET73 for the rib smoke today, the On-Off switch on the receiver snapped off. The plastic lever broke at it's base down inside the cover. Gonna call Maverick Monday and see what they say. The entire switch might could be replaced, but then a new receiver might be nearly the same cost. We'll see.

I had issues with mine today, also. The transmitter unit will simply not turn on. I think it's next stop is the trash can.

I have 4 Maverick ET-73's and have had two of them for over 5 years and haven't had a single issue with either. One of the other two I have had a bad switch similar to the two stated above. I sent the following e-mail to them and had a brand new complete ET-73 in less than a week, no questions asked.

To Whom it May Concern,
I purchased a Maverick ET-73 two weeks ago. I am using it for
the second time today and the receiver cuts off everytime the unit is
touched. The switch will not turn it back on but the unit will come
back on if you touch the switch, but it will not stay on. The number
on the back of the unit is 693101 if that helps? How can I get this
fixed or receive a replacement unit? Thanks in advance for your
assistance.

Larry,

I have the exact same problem. Did they have you send in the unit or receipt? I can send them the unit but the ET was a gift and I don't have a receipt for it.

Tom they did not have me send the unit, but I had a buddy have the same problem and they did have him send the unit itself back. However he did receive an expedited replacement.

Called Maverick Customer Service this AM. The lady said a new receiver would be $10.00 plus $6.25 shipping, total $16.25. The unit was not in the 90 day warranty.

Hmmm.....well I guess that's not too bad of a deal, versus buying a whole new unit...
