Escaped from work early

Very nice. Barb and I when we lived in So Cal used to go up to Nappa Sonoma almost every year in the 80s to chill out. Fly into San Fransico stay one night and have dinner at the Top of the Mark. Next day rent a car and go up to either Napa or Sonoma and stay a few nights. That's when the wine tasting was free and not nearly as crowded as it is now, absolutely beautiful country.
Once when we were flying home, we had bought a case of wine and all we had was carry on so I decided to see if I could sneak the case on board. Barb took the two carry ons and I threw my jacket over the case and cruised right by the stewardess and when I sat down Barb was in the window seat and put it under her legs and covered her legs with her jacket. When we got off in orange county I didn't try and hid the case. The stewardess mouth dropped, and she said I don't how you got that on the plane, and I really don't want to know. The pilot that was standing next to her just started cracking up. Good times!

I'm overdue to visit Napa/Sonoma County... it's been at least 10 years since my last visit. I stayed in St Helena on previous trips. I know the weather patterns there are a lot different than other parts of the country... How soon does the weather warm up there? Will weather be warm enough to spend a lot of time outside in March or April?

Today is unseasonably warm. And beautiful.

March and April are unpredictable due to winter. March can be the wettest month in NorCal. It all depends on the weather patterns.

April can easily high day temps of 70’s with a gentle cool breeze. We prefer the outlying season months in Sonoma and Napa due to lower crowds and we prefer the cooler months as the weather is more pleasurable and relaxing than summer/peak season which can be very warm in both valleys.

If you’re an alcoholic/wino, like us, somewhat, there is no bad time to come. So long as it’s not storming, the weather is very manageable here.

December, January and February can be cold. Avoid those months. Otherwise, shoulder seasons, sans June, July, August and early September are our favorites.
