Could you expand your dissertation on equivalent measures of salts to include Sea Salt? Or, is that measure for measure as coarse crystal Kosher Salt?

Seems like there is no one place to find every answer one needs!!

It would be difficult to give a generic answer for "sea salt" because there are so many...some are fine, some are coarse, etc.

Your best recourse is to use a kitchen scale to weigh out 10 ounces of sea salt. Pour the sea salt into a measuring cup. That measure of that particular type of sea salt is equivalent to 1 cup of table salt (since a cup of table salt also weighs 10 ounces).

Chris

I picked up a 0.1 gram resolution scale on ebay for not a lot of money. It's great for doing exact measuring of spices for rubs and sauces. Many pros use weight not volume.
