Jim, I just bot the Trudeau Elite Graviti Pepper Mill after checking out Bob's rec - just got it this afternoon but I've used it a couple of times & like it so far. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I got two of these, one for peppercorns, one for sea salt. They grind fine, course is not course.

This has been a plus for me - mine's really fine (not too fine), it hasn't adjusted out. I have 3 other grinders in my kitchen, all of the others had to be adjusted constantly & had too big of chunks iirc. I'll probably have to refill it in another week or two but other than the smaller reservoir (for the motor/batteries) I've really liked it.

Yeah, I'm a happy camper, for cracked black pepper I use a mortar and pestal. I like lots of pepper and salt on my steaks!

I just refilled mine for the first time, a month and 4 days later. It was incredibly easy compared to my 3 manual grinders; the hole is large enough to just pour in from the bottle. And the coarseness, I can't see needing it any coarser than it went this afternoon.....I put it on it's coarsest setting to get a lot of pepper into a trout brine & it was spitting out pretty large chunks....suitable for peppered bacon or jerky I think.
