Dear Board,

My apologies to Chik-Fil-A but I do love to cook the yardbird.

Here is a shot of the chicken on the grill before it was sauced with Sweet Baby Ray's. Seasoned with some cheapo Cajun rub I found at the supermarket and cooked over cherry smoke.

Here is a shot of the table before the slaughter! Actually, we saved most of it for a dinner of cold chicken and couple of lunches during the week. I dig the yardbird!

Sides were pasta salad in a box and some California mix frozen vegggies.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D

Tim great thought about chicken and the board. You never know it might happen. And if I could cook chicken like you I would have more.

Dear Paul,

I mean no disrespect when I say that chicken is the easiest thing to do on a Weber Kettle. I never mess it up, well almost never. :o Things like bits and pieces like shown above are done at 325F for 1 and 1/2 hours, and they are done to perfection.

I do lots of chicken because I go to the grocery store early on Saturday mornings in the hope of scoring a deal on things that are about to expire on their sale date. I bought 5 pounds of chicken for less than $ 5.00 after I used the $ 3.00 off coupon for frequent shoppers.

Gotta love Weis Markets if you live in Central PA!

You sir are the "Chicken King" with cooks like that. It warms my mean ol' heart to see you and the OTG playing so nice together. :)

Dear Rolf,

But I want to be the "Porkmeister" and the "Chicken King!"

I might need to get a Ranch Kettle and do a side by side cook to see what I do better?

Nah, I'll just keep alternating chicken and swine on the OTG and get good at doing both.

If I can ever afford to buy beef I'll try that too.

Regards,

Tim Murphy:D

The chicken looks great. I love cooking chicken on the grill like that. The color is almost as good as the taste.
