For a rub I would probably use ginger, five spice powder, and some garlic. You could also use a little anise if you like but I'm not partial to it. Clark

P Phil Hartcher TVWBB All-Star Nov 6, 2007 #3 Dave The standard Dry Asian rub that I use is Chinese 5 spice. Try it on it's own before you add to it. Some use additional dry ground garlic, chilli, sechuan pepper, ginger etc. I prefer it on it's own. Regards
