Don't drop the lid! (and another tip or two)

Hey folks, just a heads up.

I've only had my little wsm since December, and I was brushing out the inside of my lid the other day. (You know, the flaky flecks that show up after smoking a good bit and look like the paint is coming off.

Anyway....

I'm brushing it out with a BRASS brush, (not a steel brush!

), and I drop it, maybe a fall of just one foot.

I try to put it back on the smoker and it's out of round by an inch or more!

No problem, I EASILY bend it back in shape by trial and error, looking at the gap around the smoker rim.

My point is: You drop it, you gotta bend it back, and there's no telling how bad it would've been if I would've dropped it from waist high onto concrete.

Light blue smoke? no, a blue streak.
