Does anyone know why Costco can sell the WSK for $300 less than usual (ignoring the current sale Amazon has)?

I don't see that it's an old model or anything like that, but it's surprising to see that they sell it for so much cheaper than anyone else.

Can anyone tell me if there's something to know about this? I just ordered one through Costco but I would hate to be surprised by anything such as it not having the cross supports between the legs or anything like that.

Costco has a great return policy so ifs something's not right they or Weber will make it right.

outside of Kirkland brand, Costco won't sell anything at above a 14% markup. Suggested retail price is to afford retailers to make money, pay for their expertise, ect. My spot in Canada matched the Costco price of $1299 but barely because they told me it was right at their cost. Costco later had a week sale of $999 on them which showed that they were moving them out at a loss.

Our Costco in Prescott does not even carry it much less alot of the charcoal many others can buy.
And that sucks for us charcoal grillers

Costco buys at huge quantities which allows them to negotiate a better buying price. Unlike other retailers, they pass that discount to their customers.

Thank you all for the replies. I was hoping to hear if the model they sell isn't the same as the current model sold elsewhere, but I'll find out soon enough. This beauty will be delivered on Wednesday!
