You know what, I bet it's wood handles on the kettle. About 25 years ago is when they started using the light grey nylon polymer handles, right?I believe Europe had the daisy wheels recently so that would be great if we can get.
That was my first kettle, daisy wheels and wood handles.
For safety my guess is probably not.You know what, I bet it's wood handles on the kettle. About 25 years ago is when they started using the light grey nylon polymer handles, right?
The taco shell handle was a safety stipulation......in Europe anyway. For safety my guess is probably not.
Taco shells here as well, I read somewhere wood handles get hotter than the plastic. The taco shell handle was a safety stipulation......in Europe anyway.
I see no reason why Weber couldn't release a taco shell with a wooden handle. [I put one on my JJ. It came with two metal inserts that the bail arm/slide-a-side snapped into. I don't recall from who or where I bought it].
It's not wooden handles, but good guess based on the timeline. You know what, I bet it's wood handles on the kettle. About 25 years ago is when they started using the light grey nylon polymer handles, right?
You're spot on about the heat shield handle being safety related for EU compliance. Rather than have even more disparity among the global assortment, both visually and componentry-wise, all kettles have featured the heat shield style handle since 2015.The taco shell handle was a safety stipulation......in Europe anyway.

Oh I'm right there with you! I'd love to bring back wood handles. I'm just giving some background info to help everyone understand why it's not as easy as we sometimes wish it was.@John Burns
Totally agree John. Wooden handles don't last so long. But we love all that old skool stuff. I want some of those shirts the guys are wearing from the 60s & 70s Weber catalogues. Far-out, solid & right on!
Nostalgia, ain't what it used to be, eh? [Yogi Berra, et al].
Can you please make these again:Oh I'm right there with you! I'd love to bring back wood handles. I'm just giving some background info to help everyone understand why it's not as easy as we sometimes wish it was.
We did design a throw back shirt that we think George Stephen might have loved. https://www.weber.com/US/en/accessories/gear-and-gifts/limited-edition-button-up/400334.html I'm pretty sure it isn't sold in the UK though.
Ha! I was actually on the project to make those and am wearing one right now! I'll let the accessories team know that people want them to come back.
Bang on! I want one of those. Weber UK don't sell them. I've tried to buy one from Weber (US), but they don't seem to be able to accommodate me.Oh I'm right there with you!
