Does a fatty travel well?

I want to take my first crack at smoking a fatty this weekend, but it will have to travel on the road with us for a little over an hour. I was wondering if any of you fine gentlemen have had to hold a fatty for an extended period of time and how it held up. Mainly I'm worried about the outside becoming mushy and the filling solidifying. I'm assuming I would want to wrap in foil and keep in a cooler?

Double wrap it in heavy duty foil, then wrap in old towels, then place it on a cooler that has been rinsed in boiling water. It should hold fine for several hours.

Great! Thanks for the reassurance. Gonna stuff it with crab dip and shredded cheese, then rub it down with old bay. Should go great with flying dogs dead rise (summer beer brewed with old bay.)

Better make more than one, if you only do one it may get eaten while you travel ....
