I’m thinking about building a smoke generator that I can use on my vertical smoker or my wsm.
Have any of you guys done this or do you know of a good one I can copy or use some of its ideas from ?
I have a bunch of 4” stainless tubing, some heavy mill sheeting and TIG welding skills.
One of the things I want to get right the first time is the bottom assembly.
I’m thinking a piece of sliding sheetmetal below a screen and over some sort of catch plate.
So what I’m thinking is 10 or so inches overall of 4” stainless tube with a 1/2x4 inch half nipple welded to it, an adjustable pump to change temps if I need and sliding doors on top and bottom for easy access.
This doesn’t seem like rocket science, it’s just that I’m in a heavily forested area and need to be safe.
