Difference In Weight

I have a WSM Classic and was wondering how much the new WSM´s weigh in comparison to the older WSM. I also have a OTG 22 1/2" Weber and was looking at the new OTG 26 1/2" the other day and noticed that the new lid appears to weigh a ton in comparison to the lid on my OTG. Is this the same with the new WSM´s.

Found this here. Hope this helps.

The lid of the 26 3/4 (at least when i designed it) was of a heavier gage steel. They were being spun from a flat disc into the lid shape.

if you look at a vintage lid, you'll notice it's flatter than the newer 26 3/4. the newer one more closely follows the profile of the 18 1/2 and 22 1/2 kettles.
