Hey everyone, I was wondering what the difference between the warming rack and warm up basket. My Genesis only came with the basket that swivels.

Would you guys recommend purchasing a warming rack? I just don't want to spend the $30 if the basket is just as good. Thanks!

Not necessary, but if you get one, there is the elevated model which gives a bit more room to move food on the grates

Buy a steak! Skip the basket.
I’ve had both and neither are really much use unless you really, really want to keep that garlic bread in there. Maybe for baking potatoes but, I’d just buy a really good steak or two and save the maintenance labor. They are “interesting” but, far from an everyday piece of equipment for most folks. Certainly for me.

IMO, they just get in the way and since they plated steel, they inevitably rust out in short order. But, if you do get one, get the basket. It stays out of the way when you have the lid open and want to flip that 1.5 lb ribeye that you bought with the money you saved on the warming grate.
