I was picky looking for sales this Labor Day because I figured I had plenty of charcoal. I use about 320 lbs/year and I had 320 lbs after the Memorial Day sales, so I wasn't too concerned. I was holding out for less than $.20/lb and didn't find it, so I didn't pull the trigger. I cooked a butt this weekend and finished the charcoal I had in the tub on the porch, so I went to get a couple more bags.
I have less than 150 lb left! I know I've been cooking on the Smoke EZ a lot and it takes more charcoal than the WSM, but I didn't expect this! I barbecue MORE in the winter since we're home more and don't think I have enough to last until Memorial Day. I hope there are some sales around the end of the year.

I refuse to buy anytime except the three holidays and will keep buying. You just never know...
