Well it didn't take long. That thermometer/alarm died. Tried reset, batteries and so on. One sensor DOA. Sending it back. Will look for something better

@Ed P suggested this one. It's been working well for 16 months. I have one remote probe in the non frost free chest, the other in a frost free freezer. Guess which one is where.

Camelcamelcamel.com...or...if you use Chrome, the Keepa extension will give you historical data right on the Amazon page and allow you to set up price alerts. Here's what I see from hovering over the graph in early July when the Used price bottomed out. It doesn't look like the New price changes all that much, but the Warehouse deals can save you some $$.

Price is a fraction of the food in the freezer that it's keeping watch on the temp.
