Derby day feasting/ cocktails

The liquor aisle was out of 101 so we ended up with 81.5 proof Wild Turkey yesterday, I prefer the higher proof but, one must make do with what’s available now and then.
Feast turned out well.

Sorry no pictures of the pie! It was kind of a hot mess, it needed to firm up more but, damn it was good!

We had our juleps yesterday with Weller green. Nice to see some love for wild turkey. It gets overlooked with all the bourbon snobbery. I came across a bottle of rare breed rye and it is fantastic. You could spend three times the price and not get a better rye. Cheers y'all

Well, cocktails happen!
As long as everyone has a good time and appreciated the effort, that’s the best you can hope for.
The dessert I made was delicious but ended up as ugly as a mud fence!
