Deodorize a burr coffee grinder

Since I've branched my business slightly to higher end coffee grinders, I have this following dilemma:
So I guess this question could pertain to any brand burr grinder. I was able to buy a second Ode Gen 2 off EBay (listed as for parts/repair) and when I received it I found it to be in nearly brand new condition EXCEPT it was clogged/jammed up due to PO having used it with flavored beans. Which I have to assume are loaded with different types of oils and such to flavor them and likely very hard on the machine. I've been able to pull the unit apart, fully cleaned out thoroughly brushed out the discharge chute, cleaned the burrs with soft brush and everything has been vacuumed and blown clean and spotless.
However: It stinks! Even if I try using it with my own beans everything comes out smelling like some weird fru fru flavored coffee. How can I fully deodorize this thing? Because it's even. stinking up my workshop in the basement If you so much as lift the lid on the bean hopper the aroma of the flavored beans hits you like a freight train in the face.
I'd like to either A, press it into use, B, resell it, or C, gift it to perhaps my nephew.
But the residue left behind affects the flavor and aroma of good beans, and I believe there may still be deposits affecting it's performance slightly (it seems to collect residue more readily than my other one which I think is a by product of the smelly oils left behind)

Cool. I'll either likely try to find locally or order. Hopefully something this can clean the "stink". It literally is like when you get into a car someone has "smoked out". Just very strong aroma.

yuk.

I don't' care for flavored coffee. My grinder only grinds French roast or Italian roast.

Yeah, I did an AI search. Said to disassemble and try cleaning it all out with lint free cloth (I'm using microfiber towel) and isopropyl alcohol. So even though this thing looked literally "shiny clean" internally the amount of oily residue was making my yellow microfiber towel black and brown. Had to leave it for a minute and thought I'd check in here. I can literally smell that smell coming off my hands as I sit here typing! YUKKO it stinks. And I know it's the beans (even though the smell is offensive and lingering like stale cigarettes and smoke, because when he shipped the grinder to me it still had beans in it and they stink like some weird flavors that I cannot even describe. Once I'm done, and I wash my hands again I'm gonna bring it back up here and see how it smells in the kitchen. Almost kind of wondering if I should put it in a box with an ozone/plasma generator? I have a really nice small rechargeable one.

I should restate my "flavored coffee" comment. I don't like flavored coffee beans.

If I choose to flavor my coffee I do it with Baileys' Irish Cream, or Irish Whiskey. Sounds like my plan for tomorrow morning.
Very few “additives” hold any interest for me when it comes to coffee! I agree with you Dan! Those are some of the top ones!

I pretty much assumed as such.

Is this an ozone cleaner?

I thought I read somewhere that ozone can be hard on some plastics. Hopefully this does not apply to you.
It's something along this type of thing. Can't find the original anymore. But I left it for about 90 minutes and it's a lot better :D

I use Efferdent denture cleaning tablets for cleaning my wife's iced tea pitcher. The tablets are inexpensive and sometimes it takes several tablets in succession. It probably won't work for you unless you can disassemble and soak.

FWIW the unit is now sitting in my kitchen and before it smelled so much I had to put it in the workshop and the basement smelled of it. Now you don't even know it's there. If you stick your nose right into it, there is a little whiff but nothing like it was when you'd walk into the room with it and immediately knew it was there. I'm actually quite pleased with the results. That little device has come in somewhat handy. This was just the latest "brainstorm" I had for it :D I may actually press it into service tomorrow AM for our coffee. I don't think after a short period like the hour or so there was any harm. I looked and felt it over carefully and all seems quite well with it.

Way back in the day when I worked at Burger King in high school, the uniforms that we wore would reek of burger/grease stench, even after washing.
What worked well was in the cold winter months is to put the uniform, including shoes, in a cold garage overnight.

I suppose I could have done that with the machine. I'm not sure how well the electronics and what not would take to the cold and dampness in a garage. Especially being we're in one of those polar vortexes and temps have been pretty brutal. Though on another positive note: Even in very cold outside conditions (highs in the low teens to maybe 10F) my hanging electric heater has been able to keep my work shop out there at a comfy 65 or so depending on where I set it's stat. Since it's up high by the ceiling if I set the stat for 82 the garage will hold well in the upper 60s to 71 or so. Quite passable IMO. No fumes no fueling. Just tun on the breaker and set the temp I want. EZPZ :D

During this time of year, with shipping electronics they can be exposed to wicked low temps.
When electronics are exposed to freezing temps, I allow them to thaw before applying power.
Similar concept to a refrigerator or freezer that has been transported on it's side, it needs to be upright to allow the compressor oil to drain back down before applying power.

I have a infrared natural gas garage heater that works very well. Ever since my concussion I am still no longer affected by cold weather so I rarely use it. 🐻‍❄️
